Day 8: Dingboche to Lobuche – via the most solemn place in the Everest to the highest bakery on the planet
The hike to Lobuche featured stunning views of towering peaks and Pumo Ri was seen for the very first time. A visit to Thukla pass revealed memorials honoring lost climbers, including the notable Scott Fischer. The solemn atmosphere reminded trekkers of mountaineering’s risks. Finally, we reached Lobuche, home to the highest bakery on earth.
